Golfing Adventures
Driving Route
The modern game of golf originated in Scotland during the 15th century, at first banned by a King, it became one of their favourite pastimes.
The oldest surviving golf rules were compiled in 1744 for the Edinburgh based Company of Gentleman Golfers. In 1764 the familiar 18 hole course was first created in St Andrews. Victorians brought together their love of Golf, with their love of the Highlands with spectacular results. Golfers are spoilt for choice in the Highlands, with some of the most scenic courses in the world.
