Get Involved

Sponsored by Transport Scotland, the Highland Discovery app and website aim to promote sustainable tourism throughout communities along the A9. By connecting tourists with local destinations, businesses, experiences, heritage and culture, the project helps visitors to explore off the beaten track with purpose and confidence, while also giving back to residents and business owners.

With this in mind, we offer local businesses the opportunity to manage their own listings, equipping them with the means to engage potential customers the way they want, and with the most up-to-date information.

Who can get involved?

Whether we already feature your business or not, we welcome any owners/managers of businesses located near or along the A9 from Perth to Inverness to get in touch with us and take control of their listing.

We also welcome contact from any Tourism Groups who are looking to expand into this area and would be interested in becoming more involved.

How does managing my own listing work?

Our content management system, My Whereverly, gives each business access to create and control their listing which will appear on our website and app. My Whereverly is an easy-to-use desktop platform, designed to make updating your listing as simple and effortless as possible.

By managing your own listing, you’ll have the ability to:

  • Add and remove new photographs to make your business stand out
  • Personalise the long and short descriptions of your business
  • Update opening and closing times throughout the year
  • Let customers know what services you offer
  • List the accessible facilities available to customers
