Scone Palace

Perth & Scone
Scone Palace

The grounds where the great kings of Scotland, including Macbeth and Robert The Bruce, were once crowned, and home to the stone of destiny. You are still able to see remnants of the village such as the old Mercat Cross and 16th century archway to the 'City of Scone' before it was moved. There's also a large variety of plants, trees and wildlife (including the free roaming peacocks!) for you to enjoy. The Murray Star Maze shouldn't be missed. The stately home itself is still resided in by the Earl of Mansfield and family and you'll see antiques and paintings from centuries ago.
