Pitlochry sits beneath Ben Vrackie, the speckled mountain, beside the famous River Tummel. Pitlochry is located in beautiful Highland scenery of hills and woodlands, making it a popular tourist destination. Queen Victoria visited the town on several occasions and the town became famous as a Victorian holiday resort. Pitlochry is a great place to go for walks in the hills, woods and to visit standing stones and stone circles.
