Kingussie

Kingussie is the capital of the Badenoch & Strathspey area of the Highlands.  It a small and extremely lively town surrounded by stunning landscape and abundant wildlife.  It is claimed by the residents that Kingussie sits in the exact centre of Scotland. Kingussie has a proud Gaelic heritage and an enviable record in Shinty competitions. There is an age old shinty rivalry between Kingussie and its close southern neighbour Newtonmore. Kingussie is a mecca for outdoor activities from watersports and fishing to walking and cycling.  The Highland Wildlife Park is situated close by. Nearby Ruthven Barracks is a great draw for Outlander fans the world over. Kingussie has a lively night life with festivals each month. A great place to stay for outdoor activities and an entertaining evening afterwards.
