Culloden Battlefield

On 16 April 1746, the final Jacobite Rising came to an end in one of the most harrowing battles in British history. The stimulating and sensitive Culloden Visitor Centre, beside the battlefield, features artefacts from both sides of the battle and interactive displays gives a great explanation to the Jacobite rising. If you can't manage the 40 minute walk through the battlefield then go upstairs and take a look from the rooftop.
