Carrbridge is a village surrounded by spectacular forest, moorland and imposing mountains. The name Carrbridge comes from Gaelic name for boggie ground, Carr.  The village is surrounded by a network though the forest and is rich in wildlife, from red squirrels, to crossbills and crested tits. Carrbridge is most famous for its old stone bridge, built in 1717 it is the oldest in the Highlands. Landmark Forrest Adventure Park is situated to the south of Carrbridge.  The village is renowned for its traditional and contemporary music scene.  Carrbridge also hosts an eclectic mix of festivals through-out the year.  From the World Porridge Making Championships to the Live Art & Music Festival and the Carrbridge Gathering. The village is a great place to get closer to nature and Highland culture.
