Carrbridge Train Station
Having opened in 1892, Carrbridge Station acts as the northern gateway to the Cairngorms National Park and sits a half mile walk from the village centre. The station itself is kept in fantastic condition by its very own ‘Friends of Carrbidge Station group’ who tend to the plants and help look after the station, which is Grade B listed.
For those who wish to alight here and explore the village, an array of shops, restaurants and activities awaits. With a fantastic community, visitors should not only look to enjoy the popular Landmark Forest Adventure Park, local shops and outdoor activities, but also keep their eye out to see if their visit coincides with any of the villages several annual activities.
Those continuing North on the line are in for a treat, however, as the line climbs to 401m at the Slochd Summit (well sign posted), which is the second highest summit along the line.
